Vedic Mathematics (VM) is an ancient Vedic system of mathematics, which was
rediscovered from the Vedas by Sri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji between 1911-1918. The
primary goal of VM is to give students simple techniques for solving problems related
to basic arithmetic and geometry. Much of mathematics can be solved using only 16
sutras (formulas) and 13 sub-sutras through this system. The goal of bringing VM into
the AUM school curriculum is to create awareness and knowledge of numbers from a
young age to improve numeracy skills in children. Aum School VM curriculum makes
math exciting and helps remove the fear of math. As a result, children learn to
execute calculations quickly and easily and improve mental math skills.
