The primary goal of the Yoga curriculum is to introduce the ancient Vedic science of
an integrated, holistic practice of body, breath, mind, emotions, and spirituality.
When children cultivate this holistic practice from a young age by learning yoga’s
physical and spiritual aspects, they are more likely to make yoga a regular part of
their daily lives. Certified yoga instructors teach relaxation, balancing, breathing,
Surya Namaskara, and many standing and sitting asanas. A growing body of
research has already shown that yoga can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, and
reduce anxiety and stress in children. In addition, yoga improves balance, strength,
endurance, and aerobic capacity in children.
